More hats have been ordered and are expected in soon. The first order
sold
out in one day. T-shirts are in if you ordered them. Please come to
Booster
Club and get yours! Extras have been ordered.

Thanks for your efforts on Monday nights to decorate the locker rooms!!
Last
week for Homecoming week ALL the lockers were decorated. Varsity moms
and
dads keep up the good work decorating the Varsity locker room. Be sure
and
sign your name and good luck wish to the varsity team each week at
Booster
Club. Thanks to the Silvies for making the spirit poster every week to
hang
in the locker room. Cougar Pride!!
COACH DADS OF THE WEEK:
Dads! There are still some openings for Varsity Dads to be a Coach Dad
of
the Week. Come to Booster Club to sign up and be with the team for the
game
and the trip to and from.

LETTER JACKET ORDERS:
Order date for Letter jackets will be October 25th. Watch for further
information. Those qualifying will be able to order their jackets.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY PRACTICE TIMES:
Will be announced on October 7th by the coaches. The last we heard was
that
JV would not have practice on the 11th (school holiday) and all teams
will
have practice on the 14th. Coaches meals will still be provided that
day.
COACH'S MEALS:
Thank you so much to the moms and dads who provided meals over the last
two
weeks for the coaches!! They have really enjoyed them! On September
23rd
the coach's enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Pamela Adams, June
Hart,
Barbara Stewart and Darla Pepe. On September 30th coaches were treated
to a
wonderful meal by Roger and Susan Synnott, Lois Green, Lynne Beyrand
and
Regina McLemore. Thanks Spirit Moms and Dads for your support of our
coaches!!
TUTORIAL PASSES:
Parents, be informed that coaches are now issuing tutorial passes that
need
to be signed by the teacher of each athlete attending tutorials.
Tutorials
are from 2:30-3:15 pm. If your athlete attends tutorials then they are
to
receive a pass from a coach and then turn it in to a coach with
signatures or
extra conditioning will be issued.
VOLUNTEER HOURS:
Anyone who is helping in any way through volunteer activities for Cy
Creek
needs to be turning in their hours to the Volunteer Coordinator so that
the
school can be credited for our volunteer hours. The school benefits
from
this. Please see us this coming Monday at Booster Club to turn in your
hours
worked no matter how small or how large. Thanks!
SPIRIT MOMS DINNER:
All Moms of any team level are invited to come out and participate in
the
Spirit Moms Dinner each Wednesday night. We meet at a different local
restaurant each week and spend some time together. A drawing is held
each
week for some extra fun!! Come join us next week, October 9th at Los
Arcos
on 249 at Perry Road. The upcoming VARSITY MOM AND SON DINNER will be
on
October 30th at Harris County BBQ. Mark your calendars and have a date
with
your son!! Our photographer will be there to take Mom and son
pictures!!
HOMECOMING THANK YOUS:
Thanks to all the parents who came out and supported the Cougars at
Homecoming Parade and the Pep Rally during Homecoming week. Also
Thanks to
all the parents who came and decorated the entire locker room for all
level
teams. The athletes appreciated your efforts. And thank you to all of
you
who volunteered to chaperone the Homecoming Dance. Thanks Cougar
parents for
your Cougar Pride!!
PROGRAM ADS:
Are still available. Once you enter an ad it will run the entire
school year
in all game program books at all sports events. Put an ad in for your
athlete today or bring us commercial ads to help support the athletic
department at Cy Creek. For questions or help please contact

GAME VIDEOS:
There is a game video that you can order now that will include all 10
Varsity
games on one video for $100.00. Please come to Booster Club and sign
up for
yours today.
CONCESSION STAND:
We still need your help with concessions! Please volunteer on the game
opposite of your athletes. We don't want you to miss your athlete's
game.

With every job that is done well there are usually several people doing
a
really great job. This year we have lots of moms who are participating
in
activities who are Spirit Moms for the Cougars. All of you make our
program
for our students great and you are to be commended for your
participation. I
have had a great help and wanted to say thank you to Tracie Steele who
is my
partner, my right hand person, my backup when things get crazy, the one
who
is there when I can't do it and just an all around support to me. I
don't do
this job alone and Tracie is the silent person on this team of Spirit
Mom
leaders. So I want to thank her for her help and to let you all know
that
the Spirit Mom is really two Spirit Moms, Tracie and I plus all the
other
Moms AND DADS who help with Cougar activities and events. Thank you
all for
your help. Be sure and thank Tracie for her efforts next time you see
her!!
